Can I work for my condo association and be a board member?

Question:

I am currently the president of my Condo Association. I am also a licensed Community Assoc Manager. My Condo does not have Property Manager and wants to hire me. Can I be hired by them and still remain as President on the board? I have been looking for this answer and am yet to find how this situation can work. The members of my Condo like me and want me continue as President but also realize it is my job now to work as a PM and should get paid. No one else wants to be the president so they want me to do it and get paid like I would another community. It is a small building of 24 units and o far still under $50,000 year budget.
