I am on the board of my condo. One unit is in financial trouble and has a growing mold situation due to no AC running in the unit for 6+ months. The problem was brought to the board by the pest company that treats all 25 units. They are not paying their condo fee and are delinquent for 6+ months. The board of health was contacted and they recommended disposal of the furniture and mold remediation. I would think that MANY associations have had to deal with situations like this. Our building is 30 years old and beautifully maintained. There will be a loss in value due to a possible foreclosure (2 banks) and there is the growing health concern. Any guidance?
