My association has seems to be corrupt. There are seven members but four of them got together and they do whatever they want. There is nearly 500 unit owners and only some people come to the meetings. Recently some people wrote petitions signed by the unit owners but the board ignored them. The board president hired her best friend to be the office manager, and then they hired the friends son to be a janitor. The starting wage for a janitor is $17 and goes up to nearly $30 per hour. The management company seems to be working with the board members and the associations lawyer is on their side as well. How can we kick them out? Recently the board wants to expand the union so that it covers all employees and it seems like the board is paying union fees for them because there is a $50k annual expense for union benefits. They want to expand the union so it covers the son, and another two workers but how can we kick everyone out? How many votes do we need to kick out the son and the office manager. The office manager feels like she is invincible because her friend is the manager; She comes late, she takes a two hour break, and never does the things that she is supposed to be doing. So what steps should we take in order to fix our situation?
