Hmmmm.....Here's my answer in a question - What do your governing documents say...and second what do the laws of your state say? If they are silent, then I'd say yes, the President could be re-elected. I'm interested in other professional opinion. Do you think your community would re-elect an impeached officer?

our condo assoc has no vote - only one person who does not return calls and has hindered my repairs with black mold for months- be lucky you have a vote- we smile and deal and look to move- as several have done and many renters do not want to buy with no say or assistance

In the state of Florida, anyone can run for the Board, even if they are not eligible to serve. I know, strange. I thought so myself.

Under Florida Statutes the eligibility requirements TO SERVE are:

In a condominium with more than 10 units, co-owners of the unit cannot serve on the Board at the same time;

Directors suspended or removed by the Division are not eligible to serve during the time period the suspension or removal is pending

If you are more than 90 days delinquent in the payment of assessments you may not serve on the Board of Directors

If you have been convicted of a felony in Florida or convicted of an offense in another jurisdiction that would be considered a felony in Florida (unless your civil rights have been restored for a period of no less than five years as of the date of the election) you may not serve on the Board of Directors; and/or

If you are currently charged with a felony theft or embezzlement offense involving the Association’s funds or property and such criminal charge is pending you may not serve on the Board of Directors.

Condo docs may impose additional requirements such as you must be an owner of a unit, etc.
