Florida law will require Engineering Studies to be completed foengineering studyr all condo association buildings. We have 2 buildings, 116 condo units. Any idea on how much this would cost, how far should we go with the scope of the engineering study, and how do we go about hiring a "reputable" firm to complete a thorough study? Thanks.

Sounds very expensive. too often politicians pass laws with NO idea what the outcome will be, and the associated costs

I am a condo owner currently pending foreclosure x 2 (HOA and Master Assoc.) due to delinquent condo fees. I purchased my unit out right and fell behind in dues 3 years later due to serious health challenges ending in termination from job of 15 yrs. I tried to get a loan against the equity in order to catch up on my fees and avoid further problems. I was turned down due to percentage of renters in my building (according to Fannie May, Freddie Mac guidelines)Since then I have tried to return to work and was able to bring fees current before I had to resign due to continued health issues. How can I get around this foreclosure if I can't get a loan? My studio is the only home I have and I don't want to lose it.
