Can California condo association board member serve while unit is in trust?

We have a condo association board president that has put his condo into a trust. Question: Can he, as trustee of a condo, be in a board position according to California law? Does he meet the definition of an owner?

Certainly he can serve. He owns the trust and the trust owns the unit. I am in the process of doing the same thing putting several properties into my trust.

Hope this helps
