Condo association elevator repair and redecoration estimates?

I am currently updating an item which was left out of our reserve study. We had our elevators made complaint with a new state code but they were not updated in appearance. To redecorate an elevator, I want to put an estimate. Has anyone done this for their condo association? Would $5,000 be too low?

Why don't you call an elevator company and talk to them about the different costs and see if you can make a more educated and precise estimate.

Its never that easy. There are so many options. I was just wondering if anyone had done this.

it is easy, and.... the only way to get the info is to call several elevator companies for advice. i am in the construction business and i also would have to research available options. by the way , i am stressing "SEVERAL" companies. you are correct in that there ars so many options and codes thet whether or not anyone has done this before is irrelevant.

It really depends on the type of elevator you have and the features. I have seen "Modernization" of elevators range from $1,500 to $15,000 per floor.

When I conduct Reserve Studies I usually call several Elevator Companies that I work with and the ball-park figure I routinely get on nicer elevators is about $10,000 per floor. Remember... this is not LUXURY elevators, but just nice ones.

Updating the aesthetics is usually a good time to replace all the controls and switches so "modernization" can be more expensive than you'd think.

A good amount to set aside would be $10,000.00 It will all depend on how many options you want to take.
