A condo association website is great way to communicate with both condo association members and tenants.  Condo board members and trustees can leverage a website in many ways. 

 Benefits of a condo association website include:

  • Enhanced and clearer communications
  • Better access to important information
  • Usable sales tool for owners selling their unit (looks like your condo association really has it together).
  • A well done community website can help brand your residential community, which can increase its value.

Condo Association Property Photo
A professionally taken photo goes a long way in sending a message that you’re a serious condo association and helps escalate your property closer to a marquee status.

Condo Association Property Description
Are you in the city, the peaceful suburbs, next to a lake for fishing, in a historic district, or next to a golf course? Is there any interesting history to the property or the building? What is the neighborhood like – is there a Starbucks, Drycleaner or a Supermarket nearby? Are you pet friendly?

This can be password protected. Publishing the minutes shows great transparency in the operations of condo trustees and management. It’s also very helpful for absentee owners who may live out of state.

For “hands on” condo associations, creating and managing your own website is an option. If not, there are plenty of software service providers for condo association and HOA community websites. Some of these service providers will not only help you design and host your condo association website, but offer great additional features like online polling, voting and pay by credit card.

I think this sounds like a great idea for both conveying the professionalism of your association to prospective buyers, and keeping good communication between the owners and the association. I'm going to work on developing a site for our property before our next meeting.

You should also check out http://www.interactioncs.com. It's a social-networking platform that allows you to manage your community, and lets community members communicate wtih each other in a similar way to general-interest social-networking sites. You can post pictures, write on each others' walls, et cetera.

Has anyone used AssociationVoice.com? It looks like a great way to save some money without having to build features from scratch, which costs money in the development stage of a Website. I am concerned if it will end up creating work for property manager and her team. If you have a Web site, who manages it. I know these things can be big time hogs.

Good summary article, so many other features of value available as well. Company I work for has an HOA product called(InstaPage that even offers a mobile version and has integrated their news article feature with Twitter & FAcebook so stories can be shared or tweeted. Technology just keeps moving forward.
