Are HOA financial audits required in New Jersey?

Question:

We have a 9 unit condo association in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey.  Does New Jersey state law require an audit? We send out monthly statements of Operating & Reserve accounts and are small enough that a formal audit seems a waste of funds that could be used for future storm damage or other costs.
