Association says I can't advertise condo "For Sale"

Question:

I'm in a 55+ gated, retirement community. The development started about 6 years ago and completed about 18 months ago. The community is a condo association with its own Executive Board and a Property Manager now. The board is currently in the process of getting a final handover from the developers. I've been here a little over 4 years, but in the process of selling the property. The original declaration restricts signs, advertising, displays, etc including "For Sale" on any part of the property. Being a gated community, I'm not interested in a "For Sale" outside my property- but, on the entrance or on the grass along the main road bordering the whole community. I was told that per the Declaration (above) I could not do that. A signage along the main road (just a 2-lane township road) would definitely help in the sale. Do I have any recourse? Thank you so much.
