One of our current pool rules states, “Guests must be accompanied by a resident.” The Board president wants to modify this to allow non-resident immediate family members to use the pool without the resident host being present. Some residents oppose the change for reasons such as other resident pool users won’t recognize or know the immediate family members;it opens the pool to use by immediate family members even at times when the resident family member is away, it is an intrusion on the rights of other co-owners, etc.
Can anyone give additional reasons why this change in pool rules might not be a good idea?
