Could a Board member who has multiple units, and a private management company for those units hire (with other board members consent) the same management company for the entire Condo HOA?
Sure seems like an ethical issue and/or a conflict of interest or code violation even for CA!?
I don¹t see how there would not be cross discussions of work to be done & payments.
Our only Rule that comes close to banning this states:
"No apartment owner or occupant shall give instructions to, or use for his own benefit the time of, employees hired for the maintenance & service of the buildings or grounds".
