Condo Q&A

Can association tow truck in handicapped spot?

Written by CondoAssociation.com | Wed, Sep 30, 2015 @ 07:32 PM

I'm renting a Condo. The Association does not allowed pick up trucks to stay on the property overnight, only a few, which were grandfathered in. My landlord and myself were unaware of this rule.  We found out after I was there for a week.

Long story short, I started parking my truck off the property because they will not give me a parking permit.

I had surgery a week ago, and my Dr. gave me a two month temporary handicap placard. The association placed a tow sticker on my truck, and said my truck will be towed off the property because I do not have a resident parking sticker, and will not be issued one because the vehicle is a truck/suv.

The lot has plenty of parking for owners and guests.

My question is with the placard - do I have a chance of winning this fight?
