Florida condo board wants to scrap elevator but we need it.

Question:

Can a Florida condo board "phase out" elevators? We our condo on the 2nd floor because it has an elevator. In our 70's we need it but don't know where to go for clear answers or assistance to stop board from planned consideration of this "phase out."
