Can HOA change my interior unit?

Question:

The condo I own underwent a major $2.8 million dollar repairs. project this year It included replacing decks, siding, doors windows as the entire structure had extensive water damage, I was assessed $57,000 for my share. I purchased this unit 22 years ago because I use a wheelchair/walker and it was fully accessible for me. When the deck was replaced the door thresholds were raised an average of 4-5 inches. I can no longer physically access my deck or storage room due to this change. I know the HOA can change the deck as it is considered a semi-common area, but they changed the interior of my unit and I thought I legally owned anything inside the walls. The HOA will not respond to my letters about the problem and the construction company says they will not take any responsibility. On my interior they also decreased the area above the doors and windows so the vertical blinds the HOA demanded we have installed no longer fit. It is legal for the HOA it change my interior walls and can they simply refuse to respond to my letters.
