Can owners fire property manager

Question:

Our Condo Ass. (35 units) was appointed a new management company without any notice to any of the owners last August. He is a personal friend of one of the Board members and there 3 board members. This management company is not doing the job properly; the condo is very run down and since August nothing has been fixed.  I'm not sure if he has gone after the outstanding maintenance from units that haven't paid, if he answers questions the answers are incomplete... I'm trying to sell my unit and it very difficult to get the info I need from them. Is there a possibility for the unit owners to over rule the board and fire the management or do we need the board to do this?
