Can the Condo Association Force Owners to Get Insurance?

In CT is it ok for a condo association to force unit owners to get $100,000 in liability insurance? We are being told by our insurance company that we have to make a rule for this, or they will drop our master policy when it comes to renewal. Will this rule be ok to put in our rules? Making sure there is no law stating we can't force unit owners to do this. Help!
