Can We Pursue An Owner That Filed Bankruptcy?

An owner in our small HOA recently filed bankruptcy, and our attorney says there's nothing we can do except wait for the bankruptcy to be dismissed. We're a community of just 10 homes so having one owner not pay for long periods of time puts us under lots of financial strain. The owner has several nice cars parked outside their house which makes it even more frustrating to drive by it every day. It seems unreasonable to think there's nothing we can do about this.
