Covid 19 Property access and social distancing rules for associations

Our condo of almost 200 units requires that all unit residents pass through a common area to enter or leave the building. The HOA has posted cautionary statements about wearing gloves and face masks in those areas and discourages visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prescribed healthcare services enter without a problem. Mail and deliveries are kept outside the locked entry door, to be picked up there. Still, there is some uncertainty about "control" of people coming and going, whether other services should be allowed entry.
I'd like to hear how other properties with the same access conditions are dealing with this. Is there a legal basis for an HOA to to rule by trade, occupation or relationship who may enter a building under current circumstances?
