Do condo association residents need to leave vehicle registrations on file?

Question:

Is there an actual law in MA preventing Condo Administration from keeping a copy of residents vehicle registrations on file? Due to limited spaces, this is done in order to make sure only current residents are parking their vehicles on the property, and are legally registered and insured. Some residents refuse to leave a copy, and in order to issue a resident parking sticker, a copy of the registration is kept on file. Would this be a decision the Board of Trustees will need to enforce?
