Extending the laundry contract without the knowledge of the board members

This question is submitted by Joe M. out of Florida

A board member, possibly the president, negotiated a contract with a laundry company for extending the contract without the knowledge of the board members. A month earlier, I brought up the idea of purchasing our own machines to keep costs down for owners. What can be done about it?
