Gated community residents are verbally abusive to security guards

Question:

I live in a private gated community. Access is via resident lane with access card and guest lane controlled by security guards. Residents and guests at times are verbally abusive to guards. We have 24/7 audio no visual surveillance. After two warning letters of discourteousness by resident and guest(s) can we deny residents passage into the community via residents gate and direct them to the guest lane and gate? I believe resident gate access is a privilege. Please advise asap. Many thanks. Florida.
