I am a new HOA board member. Have taken on the task of redecorating, remodeling of our 50 year old complex. Have already found a designer . She has a plan and has submitted her contract to be reviewed by the board. Meanwhile, before I got elected; a homeowner has been pushing for changing the carpets through a specific vender. She is pressuring me to find a design from this virtual site which only has commercial carpet. She is scary and sounds like The Godfather” changing the company is not a choice”. Her husband is on the board and seems to have a great deal of followers within the board. Long story short, should I let the board know about her pushing for this company? I wonder if she would get a share of the profits; the way she is harassing me! Help!!
