Palm trees obstructing skyline and water views in Florida Condo Association

My Florida Condo Association is dragging their feet in the removal of royal palm trees that are blocking multimillion-dollar city skyline and intercoastal water views.

Many condo owners bought units that were specifically designed with floor-to-ceiling windows for these views. However, the original developer planted the wrong type of palm trees, which have grown up to the 5th and 6th floor and are now obstructing these views.  The trees are on our property and would be replaced wood-for-wood as already approved by the city of Fort Lauderdale.

Condo unit owners have been lobbying the Board of Directors to remove them for three-plus years, and have even offered to pay for it themselves, but the Board has not been responsive. What can we do to move things along and get these trees down?
