The condo association that I am in just passed a requirement for dryer vent cleaning. I am fine with this but they are requiring a professional for the work. The vent in my unit is 8 feet long and completely exposed in the laundry room. Cleaning this vent professionally is 5 times the cost of just replacing it. I contacted the association 7 months ago and they said repayment was fine. I did that and now 7 months later they "changed their minds" and rewrite it to be cleaned. If I don't they will impose a fine. Is this allowed after they already approved the replacement?
