There are four units in my condo association that have foundation issues. The estimate for all four units is $600,000 in repairs. The board is discussing an assessment for ALL the condo owners in the association, just for these four units that need repairs. My unit is not affected by the foundation issues. Can the association charge me an assessment for foundation repairs for those four units even though I do not own one of those and my unit is not going to receive any benefit?
