Condo Q&A

Condo owner trims common area trees and has issue getting reimbursed

I paid a lawyer $225 to contact my condo association board of directors and request reimbursement for maintenance (tree trimming) of two large trees. The trees sit on common association land, and should be the responsibility of the board.

Now I’m being told by the lawyer that I need to furnish him with information in our Bylaws stating that the condo association will pay attorney fees for this kind of dispute, as he says we need to sue. Does anyone have advice on this?
