Our condo association complex has just converted from co-op. Over years of no regulations, the outside of the units have been decorated by residents by 1) neglect 2) too many garden gnomes, and 3) nice plantings. Now we want to make the complex more cohesive in appearance, and in a way that doesn't create too many hard feelings.
I know of condo associations with draconian rules (you can't plant anything) and we don't want that. Some condo associations seem to find a nice balance between encouraging good care of outside space and not allowing--um--tacky. What regulations have you found to be effective? Thanks.
