Does anyone have any rules and regulations for renting out garages in a HOA? We have eight extra garages. One of the owners had her boyfriend living with her. She rented a garage for his Corvette. They broke up. He moved out. She moved out of state and is now renting out her condo. His car still remains in the rental garage basically in storage. In other words, we have become an unlicensed storage business. We don't have rental leases - should we? I live in a winter climate. We have a lot of cars in the parking lot because when the property was built, owners primarily had one car. Now we have a lot of two-car owners and renters. It is a pleasurable thing to be able to have your car in a garage so it starts when it is 20 degrees below and so you don't have to scrape ice and snow every time you go somewhere. Plus it gets cars out of the lot for when the snow plow comes. For rental garage rules, what do you think?
