Our condo complex provides that each unit has its own trash can, which is put out on the trash collection day (Monday). When I moved in, there were no additional rules related to the trash cans. Since then, the board made a rule that trash cans had to be returned to your garage by 10 am on Wednesday morning. Tonight, there was a new notice posted that it's now 10 am Tuesday morning. That's all fine and good for the retired people that are home all day. I have a job though and frequently work out of town (often not making it home at night). It seems a little ridiculous to fine me for being out of town for a night and not being able to put my garbage can back in my garage. I'm trying to figure out whether I have any grounds to fight them on, or whether it's simply a case of "If I want to change it, run for the board."
