Can condo association board auction of unit owned by trust?

Can a Condo Association's Board of Directors auction off a unit that is owned in trust. An attorney for senior citizen in a nursing home, purchased her unit. Somehow, Board is now trying to auction this unit and is taking bids. Is this illegal?
