The Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers from the HOA. The reasons why someone would volunteer are varied but in almost every case the volunteer has good intentions. However, most soon realize that they don't know the basic principles of HOA governance, the fundamentals of Robert's Rules of Order, state and local laws, fiduciary responsibility, and on and on. What is needed is training. Because classroom training requires a time commitment as well a location to commute to, I am looking for online video training. Similar to what some colleges provide. I have searched the internet to no avail. Does anyone know where there is online video training for a Board of Directors? I am located in North Carolina and current President of our HOA.
