Condo Q&A

Why can't former association board president send message to owners?

I have been on a condo association for 15 years. Last five years as the President. We recently had three new board members and a new manager. I resigned because they ignore all my advice with the knowledge I have. I asked the VP of the management company if I could post a note thanking all the unit owners for their support and that I was resigning and she told me its not a good idea. I said ok, but after thinking about her answer, I wondered why not? It was my idea to resign. I do not get along with the Manager and until a 6 months ago when she came on I worked well with he others. So I decided that the nicely worded resignation letter to all the unit owners I was going to post anyway. Well low and behold it was taken down. So confronted two members and they had no idea what happened. So I posted two more and again the were removed. I have a large owner support so I think they are afraid that the management will be swamped with calls asking why I resigned. NOW. my real question is can I put a nicely worded resignation letter up? Again I did not insult any board members or management.  Illinois.
