Board not allowing repair of roof leak that is under warrantee!


Question:

This question is submitted by Richard I. out of Port Jefferson, NJ. 

Our condo Board of Managers is not allowing the builder’s contractor to repair a roof leak that is under warrantee. They hired an outside company at a considerable cost to the community. The builders contractor would have cost nothing. Has the Board overstepped their legal authority
