We are a Southern California HOA with a board of 7 people. Although a vote can never tie because we are an odd number, our board, which I am on, can't seem to get along or come to a consensus on a number of issues around finances and capital improvements. Our property manager has been completely ineffective in helping us come to decisions or getting to the same point of view. Mediation has been recommended by some some other owners who are close the the situation. Has anyone tried mediation for their HOA or tried other initiatives to bring owners in line?
