Can we dissolve our condo association?

Question:

I live in a condo with 48 condos with 12 units; 4 per unit, 2 story, 2 bedroom units. If the owners wanted to find a buyer who might be interested in buying all 48 units, could the association be disolved-or once a condo always a condo?
