Condo board fires property manager and hires themselves

Question:

My board fired the property management company. We were all in favor of this. The board decided to self-manage. Now they want to be compensated and they are calling themselves The Management Team. Isn't that Breach of Duty? They are a board that is self-managing. They are not a management company. Additionally they mentioned something about the annual meeting and if they are managers they are staying on in their capacities as Managers. That is violating our by-laws which states that we have an annual election for the board. Isn't this a breach of Duty of Loyalty?
