Do you store your HOA information digitally?

Question:

We currently have a file cabinet containing files with the history of each of the 98 units in our complex in Michigan. As the association secretary I'm thinking it would be wise to scan the contents of each file and store all that history online (in the cloud) because if we have a fire or other disaster, all that information could be lost forever. Also it would be handy for any board member to access if needed ( password protected). Do any of you currently store your information digitally rather than hard copies? Are there any legality issues?
