Fear and loathing and condo boards.

Question:

I have been a hard-working board member for two years in NYC. In November I dare to speak up for an issue that was possibly going to hurt our building and it made my board president hate me. I am not the first victim, she couldn't even work with our last building manager which made things worse. Is there anything further I can do when the board president refuses to send you board relevant emails because she wants a board that allow her absolute control even if harmful to the condo. Even our building attorney told her she cannot block me from receiving building relevant emails but she refuses. He tried to help but says he cannot send emails she is refusing to send. He just simply doesn't have all emails so he pretty much washed his hands. Yesterday she sent an email to our new management company attorneys and all board members that she will not include me in emails starting Jan 1st and by accident or perhaps to humiliate me sent the response. I was embarrassed, surprised to say the least but also concerned how to function properly under these conditions. Should I just resign which is what she wants? Can I sue for blocking of fiduciary duty or is there anything else I can do at this point. The building has many important issues going on and this board president refuses to do what is right and my fellow board members do not want to be bothered and refuse to stand and do right by the building if it means getting her wrath, In the meantime, with little information I feel most of the time I can't even vote wisely. I don't want to sue my board but she won't listen and no one else stands up to do right by the building. I firmly believe all board members should be included in building issues since we do have to make informed voting but this is not the case. My term ends in June and despite my good work to protect the building I am thinking of resigning early since what is the point to be a part of a board I not really a part of but this is just wrong in so many ways. At this point, I don't even want to live in a building run under such tyranny and risk.
