How often should Florida condo board meet?

Seems that our Florida condo board should get together at least once a quarter to review financials and discuss the business of being an association.  We cant get our board members interested in showing up or even participating by conference call.  Fortunately our financials are fine and we have minimal problems due to a few.  How often should we meet?  Its not in the bylaws.
