Is the Association responsible to cover the cost for an AC leak?

Question:

This question is submitted by Robert G. out of New Port Richie, FL

Hello,

I live in a condo in Florida and the A/C is leaking refrigerate.

After having 2 companies check for the leak, it was determined the leak is in the 'line set'. The outside condenser unit is about 50 feet from the back of our unit. They need to dig and replace the line. Would the outside line be my responsibility or would the condo association be responsible to cover the cost?

For what its worth, when I got the unit, I was told that I am only responsible for "inside the walls".

Thoughts?
