Property manager in GA won't release crime statistics

Question:

When questioned about crime statistics in the neighborhood and reporting to residents, our property manager claims their insurance company will not let them report to residents, as it's a liability (for the property manager).

I say this is ridiculous, and any buyer would request such information prior to buying in the neighborhood. Don't current residents have the right to be informed as well? Are there any disclosure laws about this in Georgia?
