Should condo neighbors be notified of mold problems?

I live in Florida and the condo beside us had mold. It was very bad. The furniture was discarded and all drywall removed.  My question is why didn't the condo board tell me? They said nothing - it was only from asking the company that was cleaning up the unit who informed me of what was going on.

Is there a standard procedure of what other tenants should be informed when asomething like this happens?
