Condo owners sued sued by Blue Cross/Blue Shield?

Question:

Our HOA, 72 units, have been sued by one of the owners through Blue Cross/Blue shield. The BOD at a general meeting yesterday said they do not know why the HOA has been sued. If the problem was caused by the condo shouldn't the condo remedy the problem so it does not happen again? How can a problem be fixed if the cause of the problem is not known? This is not covered in our documents or by-laws
