Towed for parking in handicap spot, with permit!?

This question is submitted by Ron S. out of Victorville, CA

While parking in a Handicap marked parking spot as a guest visiting my family, my vehicle was towed and I have legal DP CA license plate. After paying $200 at the tow company I retrieved my truck. My question is do I have any legal rights?
