Condo board tries to stay clear of owners dispute

Question:

Our board has been drawn into a dispute between owners. One of the owners wants us to hire a lawyer to get a restraining order against the other owner. We don't think we are required to get into this dispute in any way, but we can't find anything in our documents or bylaws that addresses it one way or the other. This dispute involves one owner claiming that another owner vandalized his unit, though he has no evidence about who did it, only a suspicion. Our board wants to stay out of it. Can anyone guide us? Is the board required to enter disputes like this between owners?
