Can condo association get loan without putting lien on owner's units?

Question:

Our condo board is trying to require a loan to make major repairs in our building, but I am afraid that the bank will put a lien on all the co-owners property. Can they get a loan with putting a lien on all the co-owners' unit until the loan is paid? I am very worried because my property is free and clear from debt!
