Florida condo board and unexplained attorney's fees

Question:

gavel-attorneys-fees-floridaI own a condo in Naples FL. Can the association automatically pass on legal fees (from the board's attorney) to the owners without any type of vote, meeting, or due process?

These fees are not special assessments (no vote taken), nor have they been awarded by a court/mediator etc.

The association claims it is allowed in the condo documents, however refuse to indicate where. They refer the owners to the board's attorney, (who in turn will bill the association and association bill the owner).

Is this legal in Florida?
