Can Recommending Vendors Expose Your Condo Board to Liability?

Our board wants to put together a list of recommended vendors to give to homeowners with their HOA documents. I’m concerned that this could expose the board to an HOA liability risk if a recommended vendor does a poor job. Is this a valid worry? Would a disclaimer help?
