Our 102 unit Association is older, started in 1982, and is a average complex. The treasurer wants to spend $18,000 to put new landscaping at the front entrance. There are many units that need new sod, stumps removed, tree trimming, new mulch, and just a lot of other upkeep. A year ago the treasurer moved $18,000 into a fund to be spent on landscaping. The money would better of being saved for future hurricanes. Our dues are already $455 a month! There are 5 board members , and three are friends of hers. (so she is assured getting needed votes)Most people don't want this money spend foolishly on a grandiose entrance way! The board has already approved phase 1. How can we stop this job ? Would a petition work?
